How to set up & play.

Setup is simple.

Squire adjusts to your pool's water level.

Standard water level

Connect 2 targets horizontally to lock in place, logo at the top.

*Use your favorite tumbler in the top cupholder for added weight and stability.

Low water level

Connect 2 targets vertically for 1 inch adjustability, logo at the bottom.

*Use your favorite tumbler in the top cupholder for added weight and stability.

High water level

Connect 3 targets for highest adjustability from 1 to 8 inch water level.

*One-sided play only.

Squire is easy.

Splash into the pool with your friends. Skip the discs across the water toward the targets. Score 21 points to win.

Splash.

Now that you've set up your targets based on the instructions above, it's time to play.

Teammates should position themselves across from each other and to the right or left of the target.

Skip.

The game starts on one side. A member of each team alternates skipping their colored discs across the pool toward the target. The disc must skip on the water surface before hitting the target or sticking the goalie hole to count.

Score.

When a teammember hits the target, that team receives 1 point. When a teammember sticks the disc in the goalie hole, that’s 3 points for that team. Points do not cancel each other out. First team to 21 wins.

FYI, 1 vs 1 is just as fun.

Squire stack

2 vs 2

  • Hit the target and stack the disc on top. That's 1 point.
  • Knock your own stacked disc down on one of your next skips. That's 2 points.
  • Knock down your opponent's stacked disc, get 1 point and take 1 point away from them.
  • Only 3 discs stacked per turn. Take down stacked discs at the end of each turn.
  • Sticking the goalie hole is always 3 points. First to 21 points wins.

1 vs 1

  • Each player throws all discs from opposite ends.
  • Same rules as 2 vs 2 except you can't take points away from the other player.
Instant win

Stack 3 of your discs and then stick the goalie hole in one turn.

Squire Skiptionary

The essential guide.

Squire

It's the name of the game. It's every pool owner in the world. It's when a disc sticks the goalie hole. It's everything.

Goalie Hole

It's that three inch hole smack dab in the middle of the target. It can't be missed, but will be, often.

The Chrissie Watkins

She was the girl who went for a swim and became a late night snack for a big shark. Yeah, that shark. This is what we call it when the disc is skipping along and out of the blue disappears under the water.

The Robin Hood

Robin Hood split an arrow with an arrow. Discs don't split discs but this is what we call it when two discs stick the goalie hole at the same time. Rare. But it happens.

The Cross Bar

Any hockey fans out there? This is what we call it when a disc is skipping toward the goalie hole and at the last second catches a wave and strikes the rail. So close, yet so far.

The X-Games

The X-Games were all about grabbing sick air, bro. This is what we call it when a disc is skipping along and WHOA it ends up in the yard. So sick.
